Help needed deperately!!!!
Took the truck 04 F150 SCREW, in to another dealership on the request of Ford Customer Service. Had them look at the following item,
Clunk - 'Ford Said Normal'
Slow Throttle Response - "Normal Fly by Wire"
Wobble Steering Wheel - Alignment Needed - At my Cost
Brakes Wobble - Can't reproduce
Wavy Drivers Back Door - "Normal"
WTF, how can I get a hold of my Regional Manager for FORD? Can one of you Ford guys look up my vin and tell me what the deal is? Just send me a message and I will e-mail you my vin. It has been in the shop like 16 times now for different stuff.

Haha...you might as well forget about Ford fixing those problems. The drive by wire by nature has sucky throttle response, whoever tells you elsewise is either lying or denying it themselves. You could get a tuner to make it more responsive. The wavy rear doors, well the dealership would probably screw it up even more than it already is. I would be very careful who you let "fix" that. And the clunk, vibration, and brake issues might as well put up with them because Ford doesnt even know how to fix these problems without replacing random things and even then your truck will be in and out of the dealership so many times you will never get to drive it. Most of the time they will deny there is a problem and make you seem like you are imagining things until you just say F it and put up with it. Good Luck getting these issues resolved.
I think there is a TSB on the wavy back door, something to do with the padding on the inside and heat expansion......and my throttle response is damn good for a drive by wire vehicle. It really shouldn't be all that laggy, to where it is very noticeable all the time. It is controlled by computers and last time I checked, computers are capable of doing things in nano-seconds. If you compared my truck to a cable controlled throttle, you would not be able to tell hardly any difference if any. I'm sure there is a flash available for your PCM that will resolve that issue. There are also several TSB's on clunking/shuddering and that sort of thing. Did they even check for bulletins on this stuff?? I wonder if they even pulled a wheel and checked runout on the front rotors and compared to spec.....probably not. I say take it somewhere else to someone that knows what the hell they are doing or even care to try to fix your problems......
From my experience, the clunk is fairly normal, and seems to not exist only after getting the slip yoke re-greased, but then only for a little while then it comes back. Most all older F150s have the clunk too, so I don't worry about it too much.
Slow throttle response might be fixed by a reflash, but it nowhere is going to be fixed like if you got a tuner (X2) and did it that way. Yeah, the reflash was day and night difference, but the X2 over the reflash was like complete different months! Very noticable.
The alignment thing, eh, it happens I guess. A little surprised they charged you for it though.
The brakes, no comment...I had warped rotors due to early 04 build or something, since they replaced per a TSB they've been perfect.
The doors, I'd really have a hard time letting someone work on if it's not that noticable because they'll probably make it worse.
That's my $0.02 for ya...

The wavy rear door TSB applies to certain Supercabs only.
Alignments are covered under adjustments for 12 months/12,000 miles, if you're past that, it's on your dollar.

hey man, the brake wobble is a defect in the brake calipers, my f150 has had this problem since about 3000 miles, and at 33000 miles after countless excuses and new rotors and calipers my dealer FINALLY admitted to a major defect. its going in to get fixed this week. hope everything works out

Yes the brakes are from defective Rotors and calipers on trucks built before Nov. 18 2004. You can check out all of the TSBs here. I have also discovered that most service reps don't like it when you come in with a list of TSBs. All I can say if you do take in a list make sure that you actually have the problem the TSB is for.

Thanks for the input guys, this is my second set of rotors, they turned the oringal ones at 6500 because of out of spec, then replaced these with the revised ones at 11K and now here I am at 20K and they need to be replaced. I have owned trucks all my life so I don't think it is me, but you never know. I guess my fix is to replace the rotors with aftermarket ones.
I have decided to speak to the rep and then if they don't want to help then the regional manager. I think if I still can't get anything fixed then I am just going to start fixing the problems myself. New Rotors, Brake pads, wheels and tires. I love the truck but I have never had this many problems with a Ford vehicle.
