Devin the x-cal II made mine feel like a completely different truck. I too was a little skeptical and read EVERY thread on here about it. Well after having mine for two months now it is the single best thing you can do for your truck period. I guess the best description I can give it is that it feels like the last couple of Mustang GT's I've had, just peppy and frisky and ready to play all the time...not bad for a 6k truck!

Gears. Hands down. I'm surprised I am the first to suggest it. I know a RP swap is not on your list but I would like to suggest it.

Gears are a very basic modification that will do the most with the least complex change to the engineering of your truck... I realize some are concerned about the price of gas and so on. I am quite thankful that I live close to work.

I have had Yukon 4.88's on order since forever.

I started out on the 87 perf tune for about two weeks and 1000 miles or so. Then switched to the 93 perf tune and what a difference! So I plan on just leaving the 93 tune in all the time, thats where the real fun is! By the way Devin, I have never been the **** kissin type. If my x-cal didn't live up to the hype on here I would have posted as much and took my flaming. This thing is the simplest most effective thing I've ever done to a vehicle, its almost ridculous how well it really does work. Just my .02

Well you can get one a lot of places but it will have a generic tune in it. Call Troyer Performance and talk to them and get Mike's custom tune for your truck. I would also make friends with your local Discount Tire store also. 93 octane gas here in south Texas went from 2.99 two weeks ago down to 2.50 this week! Enjoy

Mike would like us to not get into price on here but you do get a discount for being a F150online member...a pretty nice discount so call him. Mike uses years of tuning experience to tailor the tune to your specific vehicle with great results...just read some threads in the chips forum.

Nothing that some of the other guys haven't already said, but I'll add another post telling you to get the XCal2. Definately worth the money...especially with the 93 Octane tune...I have been stuck running on the 87 Octane tune due to the price of gas, but even that tune is way better than stock I also agree on different gears which is one mod I'd like to do down the road....but it's all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$.
