Brembo brake rotors and pads for F150

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at upgrading the brakes pads and rotors instead of just switching to ceramics or ceramic mix. This is because I'll eventually have nice rims and tires on in the spring and don't want to see the stock stuff and I'll need a lot more stopping power with 22s.

Does anyone know if brembo makes rotors and pads for the F150? I'm looking for cross drilled or slotted as I remember being told their the best and then ceramics for pads. Also, I'd probably need new calipers too as part of the upgrade. (Something red would look great)

Anyone have tips or areas for me to hunt in?

Thanks,

Duke

Edit: Forget it, I just read this in another post:

"Brembo GT FRONT (380mm x 34) 2-pc / 8-piston $3,995
Brembo GT REAR (330 x 28) 2-pc / 4-piston (custom, est $3,295)
"

Anyone know the cheaper route?

Are the power slotted rotors bigger than stock though, I thought you were supposed to go larger than stock when doing aftermarket rotors?

Will power slotted rotors and hawk pads give better stopping power? Does it even compare to brembo? Basically, is brembo just a name brand that has quality like others?

Brembo is awesome..but they are a COUPLE THOUSAND DOLLARS. No thanks!

There are plenty of other options out there for a few hundred tops that will do plenty.

My experience with Power Slot rotors on my old Cobra was NOT GOOD. I don't recommend them at all. I had much better results from the Raybestos Brute Stop cross-drilled and slotted rotors.

I have the powerslot front rotors and hawk pads. I only have about 2000 miles on them so far, but I am very happy with the setup. I don't know if they will actually decrease your stopping distance, but the feel of them is very nice. I have also noticed that they seem to fade less when put to the limit.

BTW- the hawk pads have caused virtually no brake dust! What a difference from those stock pads!
