Anyone have a GPS mount?
I use a ram mount that came with my Lowrance Airmap 1000. Suction to the glass.
http://www.ram-mount.com/ is their production site, you can find them available at other locations.

I have a suction-cup mount for my Garmin Etrex Legend... very handy and non-permanent...
Not sure if you have an Etrex or another Garmin handheld but, if it is an Etrex, I highly recommend it...

Here's all of Garmin's Etrex accessories... http://shop.garmin.com/accessories_f...u=010-00190-00

I have a Garmin 2620 that came with a good friction mount, but it didn’t sit on the dash as straight as I wanted (especially on my wife’s Pathfinder) so I bought a RAM friction mount (4lb. Rubber coated flexible metal) for the 2620 along with a 1.75” & 3” double socket arm.
But…the RAM mount was not as stable as the Garmin mount. The GPS unit is heavy and sways up and down (or shakes, however you want to say it) in the RAM mount. The RAM mount’s arms and GPS holder are attached to arms and the friction mount via a 1” rubber ball. So the rubber gives just a little, and enough to notice vertical movement (aka shaking) of the GPS unit.
If you don’t have a mount at all then the RAM units are good, and very versatile. But for the Garmin 2620 I like the Garmin mount better.
I wish now that I hadn’t bought the RAM (got it at expressmounts.com). Their site says that you can return unopened items if not completely satisfied. It’s a little hard to tell if your satisfied until you “open” and try it. Oh well, such as life.

I have a Garmin eTrex Vista C and I was poking around the internet for a holder. I found a neat one on Amazon, but it was a package deal that came with a power cord and mapping software. The holder had lead shot in the bottom and was supposed to just sit on your dash without sliding around. Not sure how well it would have sat in place, but I thought it might work decent in that tray in the middle of the dash. Would have bought it if it weren't a package deal, and didn't see it listed by itself.
