It had a turbo and was a 4x4 with a 2 inch lift under it with 22's.
He told me it will be on dealer floors in 2006.
Then I asked him how will it do against a Dodge truck with a viper motor and he said it will eat them up.
The picture here is not the same truck butI found it here and kinda looks like the front but had more chrome on the bottom, with a different hood and fender flairs.
The truck was tight & perfect not too much chrome but just enough, when the engine cranked up it shook the windows in the mall and a few alarms went off.
It was just sick,it was the best lookin truck I ever seen.Just wish the price tag was in my range.
p.s....not sure if it was a stx or something tx.

No offense, but I freaking hate the way that hood looks. It's too.......how do you say?......over the top.

Personally, I hate how the whole truck looks. The god awful hood, the horrible looking wheels and to top it off that chapped lip bumper cover.

Good thing no one thinks the truck is ugly. Well like I said to each there own, we are all Ford fans here and we all enjoy doing mods on our trucks in our own unique way. It represents who we are and what EACH individual owners want one their trucks.

Saw one today...I can say they look much better in person.

I love the wheel, offset and tire size, but the style is too flashy for me.

It appeared to have the daystar kit or the like, but the upper arms were not at bad angles--couldn't figure that one out.

I looked at a FTX thoroughly here in TX. It did not have a turbo and they didnt offer one. (I asked about any performance mods, and they didn't offer any at the time) I specifically asked about the hood for my Lariat and they would not sell it seperately without the grill.

The Fleet sales manager handed me the keys. I really wasn't impressed, if you are going to make it look fast you need to make it run fast. (which it didn't)

By the way the hood on the truck in the picture is the Powerhood not the FTX hood. Personally I like the Power Hood better than the FTX, but its real expensive. Until you see one in person you really can't judge it. It really is the best looking hood I have seen on a F150.

I like it. Not sure I would buy it, a bit much for me, but it's still a good representation of just how good these trucks look when tricked out. The aftermarket is really jumping on the 04-06 as it is a really good base for some cool modifications.

BTW, those wheels are Weld Racing Forged wheels, very strong and light. I too was not too crazy about them at first, but after upgrading them to "open lug" design they now look a little more truck like to me (yet still very flashy for some tastes). You can see photos of the change in my gallery.

Also the FTX Power Hood is "non functional", BUT the manufacturer has a Ram Air Kit that takes 15 mins. to install and then it is a fully functional Ram Air system. Photos of this are also in my Gallery (see link in sig)

Xenon Flares & Mods

Just finished the mods to my Az Beige Screw.......I liked the Tuscany to a certain level, but it was a little over the top, so I simply purchased the stuff I liked and installed it... I think the two tone on my truck over the monochromatic Tuscany look kinda mellows it out a bit.

A couple of guys say I should have gone with chrome wheels - there is not one piece of chrome on my truck with the exception of the rear tailgate emblem, and I really like the way the wheels tie in the black pillars, mirrors, and handles. Anyhow, I HATE chrome....makes it too hard to sneak up on people!

Wanted to body match the door handles, but the Mark LT handles aren't yet available in the paint grade handle and bezel, so I will wait. Looking forward to seeing some black LEDs, and probably due for some type of tonneau cover, then I will start tweaking on the inside.

Thanks to the board for the inspiration to get off my #@$ and make the truck my own. Now, I just need someone to stop me
