Question Questiom on sensors for back-up warning

I am repairing a damaged rear bumper on an 2004 F-150 [new style] that has the sensors for the back-up warning system. One of the sensors is not looking so good due to a bump it received. I have heard they are expensive. Can I simply isolate it from the system. Will the other three do their job without it? Thanks

I cann't help you on price but it will give you problems, they are pretty finicky they don't even like getting dirt stuck in the seam around the eye. I really don't think you can isolate it from the rest of the system. I really don't think the price is outragous. It will work but it will be eratic at best.

The other 3 will do without it just fine, but I think 2 might work better than 3 (just a safer way to go unless you know for sure). You can replace them for very cheap, look here.
