The skyjacker lift is a glorified autospring spacer... Nothing more, nothing less. It basically does the same thing a spacer does, except instead of a spacer, it just uses a longer/stiffer (don't remember which) spring. If you are going to level, save your money and get the spacer.

The Skyjacker doesn't come with a new spindle or a drop-bracket for the a-arms so technically its doing the same thing as a leveling kit only .5" more. I hope this clears up any confusion.

I just read the instruction off the web site and when doing the install you have to turn the spring a certain was they mention so you dont have this problem of parts touching. I would like to know does anyone have this lift and do they have the rubing problem.

Well shoot. I was hopeing the SJ3 would be a far better option for a little bit of lift. My plan was to just run a 3-4" lift and some 33x12.5's. So maybe I have to wait for Donahoe or Camburg to get their stuff together.
I guess its on to plan C now....

Thanks guys for the help. I think I may have the dealer do a proper alignment before giving up on autospring. I just had a local tire shop do my alignment, and the guy said it was the 1st 04 F150 he had ever done.

Either way, I hope to get a suspension lift by the spring.

I've had the skyjacker 3" installed for a couple weeks now. I've had no problems, and yes, skyjacker does address a rubbing issue in their instructions. I talked to them over the phone also and they stated if the instructions are followed there should be no clearance issues. They also said that when properly installed they have had no complaints with this lift. Plus I think the skyjacker spring might have been a little smaller in circumference. It brought my front end up a full 3" and the back 2". I put new shocks on the back, which do not come with the kit. I have pics on the link below. ???, let me know.

I also read on here about members finding rubbing on their coils after installing a spacer. When I was taking off my factory coils, I found rub marks on the coils just like the pics that were shown somewhere in here. That was stock, with no spacer. If more people w/o leveling kits actually take a look they will find the same thing.

i'vew had the 2.5" autospring with no problems. But looking at your truck Vegan, the driver side tire sure doesn't look right. I know that If I had problems with the spacer I would go back to stock as soon as possible (before more possible damage occurs and save for a 4" lift. Good Luck!!!!!

Make sure everything is tight. I have 2.5 autospring and only rub I got was putting in on and doing alignment. Does ride a bit stiffer than stock, but seems to handle turns and braking better. Alao, I still have stock wheels, so that could be a difference bt you and I.

I am getting a 6" fabtech in the spring as well. These spacers just give you lift fever.
