Foglight Bumper 04-05-06

According to carparts.com all the mounting brackets for 04+ F-150 front bumpers are the same. Im guessing the 06 bumpers will directly replace 04/05 bumpers.

At only $188 for a chrome foglight bumper I think that will be one of my next mods. I would like the 06 with the round foglights if the bumpers are a direct swap.

If I put on a 4x4 front valance, any idea where I might find chrome tow hooks?

That price sounds way too low.

Is this an OEM or reproduction? Provide a link if you can.

From what I have been told by someone who works at the KC plant, it won't work. Something about the brackets being different. Now I guess if you want to change the brackets it might work.

I got a new take off chromed fog light bumper for $200 on ebay. It was in some vendors ebay store but didn't come up when I searched ebay for bumpers. $200 was the buy it now price. It arrived completely flawless. I got the fogs with their mounting brackets for $25 with the bulbs in them. I've since gone to the Silver Star 9005 bulbs though. The fogs were used but still look new.

carparts.com for the $188 foglight bumpers, Im sure they are aftermarket. The same bumper in primer for slightly more. If you look at the bumper brackets for 04-05-06, they all carry the same p/n on that website. I dont that irt matters right now on which year, at least the 04-05 fogligts can be had of ebay fairly cheap, I havent seen any 06s yet.

Got my painted foglight bumper off Ebay for less than a $100 shipped. You just have to keep your eye out for them (and your money ready!)

Not only do the fog's look good, so does the Coors long neck next to the passenger door...

While on the subject, my truck had everything I wanted EXCEPT the fog light bumper. Has anyone made the mod of going from non-fog light to fog light truck, i.e. switching bumpers and light switches, etc. I love that look, but I dont know if it's worth the hassle. It wasn't worth the hassle of ordering a different truck just to get them....
I saw a few people mention they got the bumper, and the light buckets, but I've never heard the whole mod broken down. Is it plug and play?

Mine are wired thru a relay to come on whenever the parking lights come on. Smok][n was the one who told me how to wire it. It's in another post in this forum. Nice drawing / schematic of it and relay part number if you're interested.

I would probably never turn the fogs on, I just like the way they look. BUT, if I was going to the trouble of bolting on the bumper, I'd want to hook up the lights. I hate non-functional things on trucks... Thanks for the word of caution on the aftermarket bumpers.
