how much faster would 4.10s would make me? would i notice a HUGE diffrence, or is it not worth the 189$ plus the install. Also, how much do gears cost to get installed

Just trade your F150in on a new Mustang. Whatever you do to yours he can do to his and then it will always be faster. Ford didnt build their trucks for racing on the roads. Just keep telling him his truck is faster, but yours looks so much better, then drive off with his girlfriend.

im not looking for my truck to be a hot rod, this pisses me off, i swear, everytime someone on this board asks for anything that has to do with speed, or making their truck faster, most people come back with the remark of, go out and buy a sorts car, if you dont like how slow your truck is. this is gay, i would never drive a pansey car, i love my truck and will always be a truck guy. im not looking to be as fast as a car, but i am looking to make my truck faster then my buddies hemi, or in that case, any 4 door hemi. why cant i utilize my truck for what i use it for, while at the same time be able to dust off a hemi?

As far as speed goes, ill stick to the gsxr 750

so does anybody have any usefull information on this instead of telling me to buy a new car.

again, my 05 F150 4 door KR, 3.73, 3"body lift, 35" toyo mt, helo max6 whels, intake, exhaust on a 89 octain tune....vs his 4 door dodge hemi, loaded as well, 34" BFG ats, exhaust, intake, leveling kit.

i know this is prolly stupid to you guys, but we have just always challenged eachother in everything, and i want to know how i can beat his ****
Reading your post leaves me with a couple impressions. One, you have a good budget (The KR gives it away) and two, you are trying to do two things at once here.
The tire/lift thing is the opposite of what you want to do. Higher, slower. Bigger tires, less acceleration.

Guys who ask these questions should not be putting on superchargers.
And I mean that in the friendliest way.
A supercharger will kill your warranty, may toast your engine, and will not add all that much to your quarter mile time.

Read the results right here that guys with them are getting.

Go for the gears FIRST. If you must go to the big tires (again, the opposite of quick) then put 4.56 gears in there. That is going to get you through the quarter faster than the other three mods combined and therefore is the logical first step. Then, if he stills whomps you, put the X2, Air force 1 and single in dual out exhaust.

Then call it quits. With a raised truck and lots of power you are trying to become a statistic on why trucks are dangerous.

I do understand your motivations; I used to do a lot of street racing when I was a kid (OK, clear up to 25).
But there is a practical limit, and there is no reason he can't 'keep up with the Joneses' by also modding enough to stay ahead of you.

Or just slip some ammonia in his gas, a few miles before the race... I never said that.
Chris

thanks chris, i just wanted to get some advice. To be honest, i could care less about really beating him, i just want to give that dang hemi a race for his money ya know. I understand that putting the bigger tires on and the 3" body lift will kill my acceleration, but he can still whop my but with both on his truck. what do guys think about 4.10s and 35s? i do alot of city driving, but do take my truck on long tips to SC from Fl so gas milage is sorta a big deal. 4.56s seem way to low for driving 80mph on the highway, so with 4.10s would i still see a diffrence? thanks guys, sorry if i got mad, i just hate how i have to flore it to get her going.

Forget about racing him. Just laugh at him everytime he has to take his truck in for repairs.

Just go buy an old Dodge Diesel and open your wallet. Poor little chevy did bunny hops next to my diesel when I was coming home from the track, boy he sure didn't see that coming. I guess all he saw was a ragged out 97 dodge with farm tags, with the shoe polish still on the windows from the track. I'm running 12s, but still have a lot left that i can do to it, just need a bigger wallet.

My vote is for gears, too... 4.10s with stock tire configurations and 4.56s with anything larger than say, 33"-34'" tires... I would not go with SI/DO exhaust. I would stick with SI/SO as it is less likely to drop your torque numbers. But for pure speed, custom headers with true dual exhaust would be something to behold. But be ready to open your wallet. Racing is not my thing (I like my money, and at $3.00 a gallon, well... I digress), but I still want you to whip that Hemi...

I think with thos mods you should be able to beat him. but gears would help alot too. the bigger tires will not. they will hurt your performance.

THAT, just about sums it up. I wouldn't drive a Dodge if they went 200 mph and got 35 mpg.

I hate to see any Ford get beat by a Dodge, but there are PLENTY of cars and trucks out there that are faster than our trucks, and it will always be that way unless you drive a super car of some sort. I know you said it was "gay" to tell you to buy another car, but if you wanna race, buy a race car, if you wanna kick ***, buy a Ford truck.
