If I was paying $500 for stock WHEELS only, Id put that money toward a set of aftermarket wheels. Just my humble opinion.

500 is on the high side. I have bought two sets of the 18 Lariats for 300 per set, one with 200 miles, the other with well under a 100. I just sold a set for 400, and that had 100 miles on them. All sets included four rims/tires/centers and lug nuts.
I've turned them down for 200-250 because they had 5000 and 3000 respectivly. These tires still look new at 5000 but you get a few small use scratches on the wheels by then.
If you are looking for the 18's try local papers, local free ad papers before you spend the big bucks on e-bay.
Or just ask around. The 200 dollar set was a friend of a friend...
The 18's look good, but I just saw a new Reg cab XLT with 22 inch rims, lowered, chrome handles, tinted windows in white. Looked VERY sharp.
Still had the temp registration (usally only there for two-three weeks) So unless some dealer is offering a really cool package, this guy must have taken in straight from the showroom to a lowering place.
First time I've seen the 22's and lowering on one of these bodies up close. Very sharp, but no way you would actually put anything in the bed. Three four inches of clearance over the tires.
