Intake ?

Hello everyone,

With all the talk of mods on the intake of these trucks was wondering if modding the existing intake by drilling several 3/4 dia holes in the bottom of the intake near the factory holes by the flex tube would allow more air flow?
My concerns would be the additional air flow, if any be offset by allowing hot engine compartment air back into the intake.I am just looking for some opinions on this before i try it .

if you want low cost, i say go with this mod as well- done it on my FX4, definitely louder, more aggressive growl, plus a nice little kick on accel. over stock.

kd4crs had a very good idea on this and inspired a few of us to modify it a bit to our own liking. If you want more air flow with very little cost take a look. I like the way mine performed after!

4 fishin Take this advice, he helped millions.... O.K. maybe not millions, but it does work. If your not into spending over $200 this will help, if you got money to blow, then buy an intake.
