9008 Bulbs

I haven't been able to find 9008 Headlamp bulbs anywhere. Searched Google and most of the aftermarket companies. I'd really like to get Sylvania Silverstars...Anyone have any leads???

This is one that you DEFINITELY need to search on within this forum...

I too am looking for 9008 bulbs. I also need to know what type of oil to use, and should I buy a Lariat or FX4 for my next truck. Thanks!

Those bulbs also go by the desigantion of H13. You can search using that number. Maybe that will turn up more information.

easy jb, this bunch gets a little sarcastic sometimes but they mean no harm. I too am very interested in upgraded headlights for my truck. Apparently the silver stars are not available yet. Supposedly the Sylvania Xtra-vision ones are and are better than stock, might try them. Our trucks use the 9008/H13 size. You can however change your fogs over to the silverstar 9145 bulb, I did and its a huge improvement.

SAJEFFC, where in the HE!! did you find 9145 Silverstars. Nobody I have checked with have them and when I look online, nobody has them. I knew they were supposed to be out about now, but kept hearing about delays.

Got them at Pep Boys here but I have also seen them at Auto Zone. They make a HUGE difference in the fog lights!

I have the H13 xenon lights in my truck. I got them at sportcompactonly. I ordered them right away when I found them about 8 months ago that theyhad them. But then they actually didnt have them and I waited about 6 months till I actaully got them. I paid $19.00 but now i see they went up almost 100% of that (I would never pay $50 for them). But with the silverstars in my fogs and them in my headlights it looks pretty awesome. Only thing they look awesome but without the fogs on the lights themselves dont really give off tons of light.

Well, I'll have to give them a try again. I do remember though that when I was looking for the Xtravisions, that you could get them in other areas, but it was almost 2 months before I could find them in Maryland. And I looked in a lot of the state as I happened to be traveling around.

Kingfish if you can't find them send me an e-mail and we can figure something out. I can probably get them for you and ship them.

I use the 9005 silver stars in my fog lights and haven't had any problems. I didn't have to trim any tabs or anything. I just put them in and turned them. Absolutely no installation problems. With the 9005's in, I dont think I even need my headlights on. In fact the only complaint I have is that they make the light from the headlights look really yellow.

Thanks, if I can't find or order them in a reasonable amount of time, I just might take you up on that.
