front jack points

I'll probably get slammed for asking, but I couldn't find an answer through searching. I've always used the front crossmember as a jack point to lift both front wheels with a floor jack then placing jackstands under the frame. Never had a prob, then again I haven't had to lift my 05 yet. Is this OK?

I've heard it is not, I dented my '75 Corvette crossmember that way. I believe there is a diagram in your owners manual.

Look it up in the Owners Manual. Don't use the crossmember.

Owners manual says use the frame behind the front wheel. About where the front edge of the door is (approx).

I use my crossmember all the time; jack stands on the lifting points, there is no reason to do one side at a time if your working with both front wheels for instance.

I would use the frame rails behind the wheels. They support the weight of the truck not the cross-member...JMO
