Everyone please read and answer....

For everyone with the REAR END SHUDDER AT TAKEOFF mostly, AND ALSO AT INTERMITTENT TIMES WHILE DRIVING.......

What model year is your truck?
Do you have the limited slip axle?
What gears do you have?
Is it 4x4 or 4x2?
Has your shudder at takeoff truly been fixed, and how?

Thanks everyone if you don't mind replying, I'd like to find a trend on this since now they're saying something about a possible wrong angle on the driveshaft as the problem.

It has fixed itself.....it was bad when I first got the truck and was there everytime I took off from a stop, it would clunk and shudder and now it is not really noticeable any more with 15,000 miles.

dont notice a shudder at takeoff but do experience bed/rearend shake maybe 25% of the time over 60. I didnt notice it before i dropped the truck, but then only had it a week b4 i did... could be a bad pinion angle or could be the VIBE. in sure the dealer wont fix it, but it doesnt bother that bad anyway :o

Had a bad vibe.

Balanced 20in wheels and replaced rear drive shaft. Still had same vibe. Took off 20in wheels and replaced with the stock wheels...No more vibe.

Shudder on takeoff was very noticeable when the truck was new. It has 6500 miles on it now and it seems to have gotten better. Haven't taken it in just yet.

Never noticed an intermittent shudder while driving...only on takeoff.

Got the rear end shudder on take off, also on leaving a parking spot or making a turn of a corner.

Ditto for me. Same truck but an O4, after 10k miles the clutch packs have obviously loosened up as the shudder is gone now. After reading about this problem on this fourm I chose not to take it in to Ford to install loose packs in place of the tight ones.

Had my clutch packs replaced. Fixed the shudder I had while making slow truns.
