Donahoe makes great suspension pieces.

I'm installing new coilovers and rear reservoir shocks from King. They are beautiful and, of course, King coilovers and shocks are some of the best in the world. They just developed their new kit for the F150 and it works great (we tested it and the feature will be appearing in Off-Road magazine)! It doesn't lift the rear at all and the front can be raised 1.5 - 2.5". They installed 35x12.50R17LT Toyo MT's on their test F150 after the install.

I plan on running 35's on 17's, 18's, 20's, oh, whatever strikes my fancy after I get the Kings installed.

I like the look of Southside's truck.

in all honesty my truck doesnt rub one bit ! i love the 35 better then the 33 . our trucks have big wheel wells and it takes alot of it up ! you might runinto a problem with a +30mm backspacing becasue you arebringing the wheel back into the well more but i wouldnt do the add/leaf , i took mine out cause it was still not where i wanted it it i had the choice to do 33 or 35's again i would do the 35's the only thing im not liking is the differance from tire sizes beacuse of power . my next 2 mods are the xcal, and intake. which will greatly make up for the change im still trying to get more and better pics ! also i am running a 35.12.50.20 toyo i wouldnt really try to go any wider and on a 8.5 rim and maybe a 9 it works great but the +30mm offset my have a differance in the say so !

Alright southside!!! You convinced me. Im doing it! But, now i am a bit concerned about the backspacing on the Rim I like. I believe yours calculates to 5.5 inch backspacing and mine would come to over 6". I know the rims fit because another member has them... but he has 33" tires on them. I think I may just try the Rim I like and if i have trouble I will just order the rancho kit.

One last question? Why do you not reccomend the add a leaf? I want it because I tow a boat often and do not want to be nose high.

I am also seriously considering gears to combat the performance issues.

I just re-checked the info on the wheels... They are +25mm not 30mm.. This equals 6" backspacing on the 9" wide rim. On your 8.5" rims the 20mm backspacing equals out to 5.5" of backspacing. So i would still have the wheels a half inch or so further back than you. But the tire wont stick out as far off of the rim because the rim is half an inch wider. So, that means that the tire would sit about 1/4 of an inch further in than yours... If that makes sense.

Like I sad before... i think im just going to do it. Ill get teh Rancho Kit if it doesnt work out for me.

To Me The Add A-leaf JuSt Sat To High With Out WEIGHt On It Imo But If You Tow Alot Then It Would Be Good . For Me I Would JuSt Get The Airbags And Be Done I Cant Not Stand A Truck Being Higher In The Rear Then The Front Thats All , Personal Preferance I Guess . I Would Just Get A Intake And Chip Before Gears Less Money

But addinf gears will take the stress off of your engine... especially while towing. Adding power to the engine only increases the stress on everything. With stock 3.73s and 35's your effective gear ratio is at about 3.4 that isnt too high, but for towing it will have alot of stress on everything. And definately wont allow me to get into OD at all... and that will result in poor highway mileage while towing. Anyway... thanks for all the great info.
