Rear Power Sliding Window Sticking

Wanted to know what those of you that have or had this problem did?... The first time I took it in, they replaced the motor. To me it seems like the track the window slides on is "dry" and the wliding window hangs up on the track. I think I once read that someone put a little silicone lube and this fixed it. Suggestions???

I had my power window stick also, would have to rock the switch back and forth for it to unstick itself and close all the way. The problem was there was grease in the track for it to go. I took it to the dealer & they just threw some grease in it. Dirtied the window up nicely, but at least it works.

I thought mine was just sticking also, and now it doesn't work at all. I took it in and they say the motor is bad. It has been on order for almost a month now. I called last week and they have no estimated delivery date. My dealer said they have had quite a few of these motors go bad. I hope once its fixed I don't have anymore problems.

Mine use to do it and then one day started to rattle. Come to find out there is like a pad in there and it was hanging up on it. I belive they trimmed the portion that would not stick or something to that effect a little lube and works great, no rattle or sticking.....to date. fingers still crossed....now if I can get the head liner to stop chattering...other than that love it....first ford ever and not to bad for a first year production..

Just had mine fixed for the second time also. First time was couple of months ago and truck was about 6 mos old. Motor was bad and they replaced. About a week later it started working only intermittenly (sp) and finally quit altogether. Today they checked and motor was fine, just needed to lube the cables and track. We shall see. Personally I think whoever makes these windows for Ford should be shot...they are junk! First time mine sticks open in the rain I'm goin jamzwayne on somebody!

Since hindsight is aways 20/20, I figured I would add this. I have the slider. I figured it would be something cool to have in the beginning. Now, I wish i would have gone with the regular rear window *with the defroster option*. It gets cold up here in the winter, and the heat blasts, so the trucks fogs up like crazy. Anyways, not to get off the track. My rear slider is working fine now, they greased it up when i got the truck, (feb 04), not a problem really since.

mine has been dead for about 3 months... I DREAD takeing anything to a dealer, but I guess I will have to now. Funny, in the year i've owned the truck i have only used it 3 or 4 times. BAD investment if you ask me. :-(

try some silicone spray inside and outside (in the track and along the entire rubber seal)....my motor went after 2 months w/ little use. Now I try not to use it at all...used the silicone because it was squeaking bad when drtiving over bumps!

Mine broke too. Took it to the dealer and it now works. Hope it won't go again. Bad option IMO!
