color choice

Why doesn't ford have every color available for every model on of the F-150? Like you can't get a silver or dark shadow gray on the Lariat. I think every color should be available on the luxury model (Lariat). Or why don't they make every color that there going to bring out available in 04 For example dark stone? I'm going to be really if ford comes out with a silver Lariat in the future and ford to see me back in the financing room.

I dunno, but I'd dig a monotone DSG Lariat with body color front and rear bumpers like an FX4.

Every automaker does something similar.. if not with exterior color it's interior colors, blah blah blah... Take it down to Macco for the $299 Ambassador paint service if you want a silver Lariat. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for one from the factory.

Speaking of automotive colors, it is interesting to look at brochures for vehicles from the late 50's through the late 60's and see how many different colors were available to choose from back in that era.

Late 60's Mustangs, for example, had about 25 different color chips in their brochures (some of which I didn't even know existed since I had never seen Mustangs in that color before) whereas today if you have a dozen colors to choose from that's considered pretty good!

I think its because of the interior colors.

they dont want to make a silver or shadow gray lariat with a tan interior (leaving black the only choice).

Its easier to not offer those exterior colors and have ALL lariats have the choice of tan or black interior.

Now i do think that in the near future, they might drop black as an interior choice (ford has a history of doing this) , and then add gray, so then a silver or other gray lariat will be possible.

That was exactly what I thought when I bought my truck. No silver Lariats so I settled with a white one instead of a silver XLT. I am very glad that I got the Lariat though.

Just razzin y'all. Actually my favorite setup is the Screw Lariat in Black and Arizona Beige. LOVE IT!

It's just too bad I don't have the time to keep a black truck looking good.

Thats what I got.

Although, like 04Lariat05kr I wanted a dark metalic grey or silver Lariat but could not get it. So I settled for the tried and true black. I love the colour but my last vehicle was black and was a beotch to keep clean and nice. Oh well...I will do my best.

I wash my truck every other day when its not in the shop so I don't think it'll be that big of a problem. Im just SICK of the tan interior.
