No insurance/no drivers license and an illegal too boot. I am sorry to hear that, that is my biggest worry where i live. I really did get lucky during my accident, the air bags did not deploy and the guy i hit had full coverage.

This is the lovely catch 22 of living in CA. Insurance is so damn expensive people can't afford it, and it's so damn high because of people drining around with no insurance. My insurance is going to have to eat the whole bill now. I think my rates wont get hiked, since I was not at fault, but it sucks that my company has to pay.

I'm going to see if I can get some pics of my truck at our collision center tomorrow and I'll post them when I get back from work. Don't think I'm going to feel quite as safe on my commutte to work in the wonderful Kia Optima I got for a rental. I paid to upgrade because I wasn't going to risk my life in a Hyundai Accent.

Airbag thresehold for deployment is around 14-18 mph. So, if you were slower than that it worked properly.

I hope you get your truck back soon, that sucks with insurance, but at least they are taking care of it. Good luck.

Glad both of you are OK. I know you love your good looking truck but everything is repariable compared to a human life.
