We need a FAQ thread stickied or something..

There needs to be a newbie thread stickied to the top or something.. Frequently asked questions by noobs such as myself..

I search to answer all my questions, but there are so many threads and so many educated and uneducated responses that it's hard to figure out what the facts are..

What do you guys think? Anyone want to write it? I'm too much of a noob..

Using the *advanced search* feature seems to work fairly well narrowing things down you’re looking for

Welcome to a place worse than TR at asking for technical advice.

I totally agree, searching can become a pain in the ***. It would be nice to have a Sticky... "Look here before you ask questions"

I only post on f150online but we need to expand a bit "more" and offer more information than other forums do.

"Look here before you ask questions"
  • How-to
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Vehicle information

All this would be is a closed thread that Rock Pick can update and all it would include it link to previously started threads.

Keep this thread going and hopefully we can get something started.

EXACTLY what I was thinking... Maybe even an archive subforum that contain great debates, reviews, sound clips, problems and issues, etc..

Everything from "Hey - What really is the best intake?" or "What oil do I use?" and all the simple stuff to full maint. guides for changing spark plugs, installing aftermarket products (exterior, performance, etc)..

Here is what the sticky should say.....

"Use Search before asking any questions. Thanks"

It would save a lot of write up time too!

Might not be a horrible idea but as far as making a wiring diagram a sticky??
I think that is a bad idea.

Also there are already how-to guides posted under "Technical Articles".

Just my 2 cents

Search is fine.. but like I said - so many threads with answers that are all over the place...

Why not have a noob thread? Something with a list of common questions, and the proper common answers? I'm not talking technical here for now.. I'm talking things like:

* Which intake's are available?
* What exhaust setups are available?
* What is a leveling kit and where do I get it?
* How do I find the born date?
* Where can I order aftermarket?
* What are the headlight #'s so I can order aftermarket?

Simple stuff like that.. Searching is fine, but the answers are all over the place and there is no clarification on what is right and what is wrong.

On top of that, searching is a heavy load on the server. If we could have the one stickied thread, it could reduce server loads as well.
