Now you can build and price your 2006 online

While I wasting some time this morning, I came across this Ford dealer's website that allows you to build and price your 2006 models. Including the Harley edition. Pretty cool. Here you go

Too bad thats not an official Ford Motor Company site. It's a site put together by the Fleet/Internet department of Sunrise Ford, which is near me, I think. By going to the official site at http://www.fordvehicles.com you will see that their build and price is still for 2005 models. I'll wait for the real thing.

I took alook at that site, when going through the "building your own", its missing ALOT of option picks that are shown on the offical Ford website.

I know. Isn't it a shame that the independent dealers are having to create their own website for the 2006 trucks, since Ford seems to be behind the power curve. Anyways, I thought the site was pretty cool, it did list all the options for the 2006 Lariat that I have ordered.

Looking through the Ford official site, i built my current '04 F-150, MRSP is about $ 1,700.00 more. Of course that means nothing under the family plan price.

I went to the Ford factory site and saw that they also have the '06 Mustang programmed into their system now. However, when I went in to build my dream 'Stang it became apparent that their site was not really functional, since some of the colors that have been discontinued for the '06 model were still in there, etc.

Ford is really slow on getting their websites updated and working properly -- it's really bad on some of their Motorcraft Parts sites!

Ford has most of the 06 up for the build and price, including the new explorer.

I agree. There are usually some bugs in any completely new vehicle.
