It does look really clean.....im ussualy for lifting a 4 wheel drive vehicle.....but i think the FX4's in black look really sharp no matter how you configure them as long as they are level.....looks very very nice.

Looks great. If you aren't going to raise the front, lowering the back is the next best thing...now get some 24" wheels on that badboy!

OMG! I LOVE IT! That is absolutely awesome.....I haven't seen anyone do this yet to level a 4WD out. Most people get front leveling kits and for what I use my truck for, I don't need the front up in the air anymore than it is. Wow, I think I might do this.....any pics of the process, or comments on doing it? Any helpful tips are appreciated!

Looks good! The truck does look without the stickers too, but I think the FX4 stickers kinda distinguish the truck from other f150's(XLT, LARIAT). Either way i like it.

Thanks BRO, it looks way better in person. It's exactly level, front and back. After years of lifting jeeps and other trucks I've had, I wanted to do a low job this time, eventually, I will do 22's I think. Your truck looks awesome, great color! I simply traded for another members 2WD bolts. Here are my comments on doing it from another post I made earlier:

"Actually, very simple, just took my time and practiced safety first. I jacked up the rear of the truck under the rear differential and placed jack stands underneath the frame on both sides as close the rear as I could. Let the jack down enough to have the truck on the stands, but leaving the differential supported by the floor jack. Remove the 4 U-Bolt nuts on both sides, take off U-Bolts and set aside. Next remove the 2 center pin nuts on both sides and U-Bolt holding plates. Set aside. Slowly let the floor jack down, enough to get the blocks out. Reverse steps with a set of 2WD U-Bolts. Good to go. Obviously, I didn't do this to solve the issues I had, simply cosmetic. The fact that this eliminated the clunk and vibration was a value-added surprise!"

That's it!

Thanks! Did you take any measurements of the blocks or the drop? Looks to be about 2 inches or so. I put a set of lowering blocks in my 88 S15 Jimmy I used to have to level it out and it seems about the same as your description on doing this. Can you get these U-bolts at any local parts store? I guess they are pretty much identical, only the 2WD ones are slightly shorter? As stiff as these springs are on these trucks, I bet even if I hauled my bike in the back, it probably still wouldn't sit down enough to look like the rear is sagging. I can also think of another plus.....with the rear out of the air, I bet the mileage will go up!

EDIT: And I think some black LT handles would look REAL nice on your truck!!

Yep, they measured right about 2 inches. As far as the U-Bolts, I'm sure you could get at the local parts store, don't see why not. I just thought I would do a swap so someone could enjoy my blocks without have to pay out the nose for them. Still pretty stiff in the back, and I hope my mileage does go up!! The LT handles are on my list bro!

not sure if it's related... but my truck had the driveline clunk from stop and the dealership said they replaced my U-Joint..... they greased the slip yoke and updated my PCM software too... the clunks gone now.. has been for over a week.....

added FX4Ex's blocks to my 4x2

hey FX4Ex, the swap worked out great for me too, swapping out the 4 leafspring center pin/bolts wasn't necessary and as you alluded to was a little hassle. on one side the leafs got out of alignment and I had to work on that for ten minutes to get them lined back up. the blocks are not tapered for pinon angle, they are just under 2" (1 7/8"). I didn't pick up the slight driveline vibration and clunk from acceleration from your blocks! your driveshaft slipyoke probably slips in a little further, maybe that helped eliminate those 2 issues. I only have the slightest issue with hitting a speedbump at a slight angle, on rebound I get a little shock topout from the shocks being a little too short. other than that she's smooth as silk, I just have to figure out how to get the front end up another 2" so she's level again.
