Rancho RS9000 Triple X Coil Over Shocks

RS9000 TRIPLE X COIL-OVER SHOCKS
-Threaded sleeve design allows up to 2 1/2" of vehicle height adjustment
-Great for front-end leveling applications
-Allows for larger wheel and tire option

Part # for 04+ F-150 4x4 trucks #RS99768

Anyone Tried these replacement shocks instead of a Spacer?? If not, I think i might be the first to give them a shot. It seems like a great option for leveling out the truck, because it combines a spacer with a fully ajustable off road shock! In addition to that it is like a fully ajustable spacer... you can mess with it and decide if you want 1.5" level or 2.5" Or you could leave it at 0" and level it later... you get the point... its AJUSTABLE! Im thinking about useing these shocks up front and maybe an add a leaf out back for a mini lift kit. I want the Add a leaf, or air bags becuse I tow a boat often and hate the way a truck looks with the back below the front while towing. I guess Air bags might be better since i can be level all the time.... but now im getting into another topic.

Just so you guys are up to date on my current "plan" It if to get this ajustable coil over shock rs9000x ranchos in the rear along with airbags or add a leaf in the back. Then Im going to throw some 33x12.50x20 Toyo M/T's on a set of 20x9.5 black DeModa Intimidator Wheels. Im sure the plan will be diffrent next week (or tomorrow for that matter) but... i love to get everyones opinions.

The Intimidator's

Check out pages 4 and 22 of this PDF for info on the new ajustable coil over shocks.

If you have the money to burn i suggest getting the spacer as well while you are there. When you are maxed out on 2.5in of lift you wont have the same ride quality as 0in

How much do those run? Also, I wouldn't try to use a spacer with them. You can only go so high with just spacers. There is a reason the 4 to 6 inch lift kits come with drop down brackets and new steering knuckles.

I'm interested in learning more about these shocks as well. I noticed them in the Rancho product brochure, but haven't found them anywhere for purchase. Where are you planning to buy them?

They are pretty new. That probably why you are having problems finding info. I would try 4Wheel Parts, they are a huge distributer for Rancho.

Im pretty sure he meant you could buy those but he would recommend leaving them at 0" (stock height) and than installing the spacer because when the shocks are +2.5" they won't ride as good.

I don't think the ride will be much, if any, different.

Yeah... Wandell Im with you.... ajusting the collar on the shock is exactly the same as a spacer. Asinatra is probably thinking of a preload type of shock. These Ranchos have an ajustable spring seat as well as the 9 diffrent shock settings. It will do the exact same thing as a spacer.... just useing an ajustable spring seat instead of a spacer between the spring seat and spring.

I was going to call 4 wheels parts about the shocks... especially since they have a deal on ranchos throuh the weekend buy 3 get 1 free... I havent called them to inquire about availibility though.

I dont know if im going to place the order or not... I was out in the woods tonight and It really made me want the Rancho 4" with 35's... My truck hung with my sister's Wrangler on 35" Super Swampers.... But I slammed the skid plate on logs a few times and it made me Cringe. But... then there is my 6 year waranty... Losing that is going tro make me sick too... And then there is the cost of the 4" rancho... But the toyo's i want are only like $30 more for 35s. But then there is gearing... and towing my boat... and on and on... I should probably just get 33s and slam the skidplates all day long annd keep my warranty... Sorry for thinking out loud here...

Ill let you all know if i end up ordering the Rancho rs9000 triple X shocks tomorow... hopefully they arent excluded from the get one free deal.

Just to update you guys... 4wheelparts.com has the part # listed for the ajustable front shocks... But they are on backorder. I havent called Rancho yet to see when they will be shipping. These shocks were not eligible for the buy 3 get one free deal that 4wheelparts had over the weekend. So, I havent placed any orders yet. If anyone hears anything else about them post it here.

How much are they? Anyone find out yet?

Im figuring if they're less than $100 difference between the other Ranchos. I'll get them, seeing how I could sell my leveling kit for at least $80.

Do it!!! Last time i called 4wheelparts they had them in the computer... but hadn't got them from rancho yet. Im sure they have the price, so just give them a call. are you sure you dont want the donahoe racing coil overs for $1200? LOL I thought you were going to get a lift? I say suck it up and got for the 4" rancho... So you can fit those 35s you have been asking about. Then you can get the Ranchos that they have for the lift.
