Obviously, the grey airbag would look bad with the black wheel, and the price of a new airbag is really cost prohibitive. I am leary of buying a used airbag off of Ebay since everyone selling them for less than MSRP says "I don't know where it came from."

One option suggested to me was to simply paint the cover of my airbag. I was wondering if anyone had painted vinyl like this (apparently there are new paints out that are more vinyl compatible, and are supposed to not crack/chip/etc.) What kind of results did you get? And if I do paint it, is the Ford logo in the middle removable, or will I just have to mask it?

Looking for a little outside assistance

btw- anybody with an STX and no cruise want to upgrade to a wheel/airbag/column covers with cruise? Free swap and I pay shipping
It doesnt look as bad if you have the gray buttons. I also have the same setup (black interior, black wheel, gray bag) and it looks tacky at first but after a while you dont notice it. It actually looks kind of ok with the gray buttons there.
