Help lowering my 05

I want it to sit lower. I am coming out of an 02 that I dropped 2 inches all the way around. My wife is 5'2" and I have to push her little **** up in the truck. I don't mind but she has done nothing but complain about the height since I got it Wednesday!! I'd share some pics of the truck but can't figure out how

shackles in the rear around 100bucks (2in rear)

if you need a further drop get a flip kit w/ front springs (2in front, 4.5-5in rear)

Does that 2 inch shackle kit level it out? The factory rake looks huge.

You have a couple of options here. You can lower just the back to balance things out with some 2" lowering shackles, lower everything (front & rear), or perhaps get some side steps or running boards.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Thanks for the info...Who sells step ups reasonable and nice looking? Also shackles...same. I know that for my 02 I just got some ground force 2 inch drop shackles and 2 inch lowering springs from Springtech and it worked out great. I tried to find the same things for my 05 but have had no such luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

2 Inches will not make your truck level, 3 inches will, I have 2 inch Mchaughys drop shackles on mine truck, and still needs an inch more. I heard of 3 inch drop with some mod. Maybe Ill try that in the future

Don't know if you have 2 or 4 wheel drive, but my sig pic shows my '05 SC 4x2 with the 2" lowering shackles. You can look in my gallary by clicking the sig photo if you want to see a larger picture.

Hope this helps.

I think it looks good with the 2 inches you have in your sig pic. I still want a little rake like yours has! Where did you get your shackles?

Got them at Les Schwab Tires accross the street from where I work. They did the install too. Damn install cost more than the shackles. $60.00 for the shackles, and $65.00 for the install. Would have installed myself, but didn't have a garage to work in or a jack. The truck looks much better not being so high in the back. The factory rake is just too over done IMHO.

I got the Ground Force kit because it comes with the pinion angle correction shims. I hoped I wouldn't need them but I got a slight driveline vibe after installing the shackles. Shims fixed it. I got the kit from Summit Racing for $96.00.

HIDPLANET, you must have a big head with all the compliments you get on your truck in these forums!

Not really...just proud of the truck.
It looks a bit different now though. Got the blacked out XLT grill, and a tube style lower grill insert.
