How big of a steering nibble problem did you have?

Im debating of just investing in a set of good shocks to try to get rid of my nibble.

I had a relatively small steering nibble problem. But now I don't have a hint of any problems. I wont say I have a much softer ride now, But I would say a more controlled ride.

When people on this board first started putting on the Bilsteins, some were reporting that the shocks actually lifted the truck about a 1/2 inch. Have any of you that have made the switch to Bilsteins noticed a slight lift? i have a 2wd and dont want a lift.

I have 2" drop shackles. Will the HD Bilsteins work or will they be to close to bottoming out? Does anyone know of a drop 'shock mount' kit for our trucks?

Thanks

KWR, You might ask someone like jpdadeo if when he had his drop shackles on if he used the stock shock. If so I think the bilseins would work.. Just a thought..

I have the Ground Force 2" drop shackles on and kept the stock rear shocks. The shocks actually seem to work better with the drop. Probably due to the increased weight transfer from the drop.

Hey MHeue, Did you need the compressor and air tools mostly for the shocks? I've already had Bilsteins (love them shocks) installed but have been wanting to add the Hellwigs front and back. Can I do the Sway bar with only torque wrench or do I need the air tools? Thanks.

You do not need air tools to do sway bars or shocks. I used them because they make the job go alot faster. Added that as a time reference only as I was being asked about install time.

Just a quick question, if I already added a rear Hellwig, should I change the front as well? Thoughts, comments? Maybe I should just replace the bar bushings to polyurethane.????????

As for Bilsteins and a 2" drop, I dropped the rear of my truck and am still using the Bilsteins. They still work pretty darn good! I have no problems bottoming them out.
