Daystar and Nittos installed

I intalled the daystar two weeks ago. It went well but here are some tips.

It took about 2.5 hrs and several trips to auto zone. We got the 2 biggest spring compressors they had and they were not enough to compress the spring far enough to reconnect the strut.

We went back to auto zone and got TWO SETS of strut compressors, with that and air tools it worked fine.

Another problem was separating the upper controll arm from the knuckle. I could not get a two arm puller to work, or a ball joint fork. What worked the best was two light hits with a rubber mallet upwards on the ball joint bolt.

My truck has 39000 miles, a few more than most people installing these kits, so disassembly was a little harder.

Last weekend, I got wheels and tires,
Eagle Alloy 17x9 wheels and Nitto 295/65/17 this is about 33x12.5x17 from SVTeric.

The truck looks awsome! it feels bigger and rides smoother. It is hard to tell from the pictures what a difference it made in the trucks appearance.
I love pulling up next to a stock f150....

Perfect!

I am not a fan of highly lifted trucks because it makes no logical sense (sorry to those who have lifts) but this setup is just right. Practical, doesn't affect wear too much and looks way cool!

Looks nice! May I ask where you got those eagles? According to others I wont be able to put wider rims on my 315's until I get a lift.

i definately think we could do that daystar install in about an hour now, without 8 trips to autozone.

edit: matt whats with your sig? change that ****, you're not stock no more!
