Everyone with keyless entry keypad

Look at your keyless entry keypad at night when it is illuminated. See if the first and fourth buttons are a lot dimmer than the others. Mine was like this back at the first of the year, I replaced the keypad and all was well. Now I just noticed that it is doing the same thing again. There must be a flaw in these cheap keypads.

I checked mine and didn't notice anything unusual about the back lighting. Seems normal.

i didnt notice if mine was illuminated, but i did notice that the the person who started this thread has a 2000 f150 ..Not an 04-05....Your issue might be with that model year..Not to sound rude but you might want to post this in a different forum

Just check my keypad and the (3-4) button light is week compared to the others. What’s the fix for this? Replace the keypad? The keypad is incorporated into the door handle

Damn... now you made me look!

I put the keypad in myself, and the buttons don't light up. Going to have to check the wiring. Good thing I got a copy of the wiring diagram to put my tailgate ajar / lock mod in.

The keypad is lost on me.

Haven't used it once and probably never will.

Its a leftover from the days when people could lock their keys in the car, which I think we all can agree on if you manage to do that in the new F150 you are not real smart or meant to do it.
