I didn't intend my opinion to be an insult. However, I do see how it could be taken as one. Nor did I intend it to be a "My truck is better than your truck" post. But since you brought it up, why would people choose your truck over mine? You have a grille that I personally dont care for. I chose not to post that when you started a post about your grille asking others what we thought. You added the flames that I dont personally dont care for. You added aftermarket exhaust, OK. You added the domed silver over lays on the Ford emblems which I actually do think look very good on your truck. Maybe I should have posted that also when I posted my opinion about the flames. I thought it then, I just didn't post it. Other than that it appears to be a stock FX4, nice job?

Also, I haven't updated anything in my photo gallery for probably close to a year so there are several other mods that I've never posted pictures of nor posted having done them. Not that I wouldn't like too, I just dont have a bunch of time to do it. I probably could and should make the time to do it. At this point I dont think I could post my mods w/o it looking like I'm trying to prove to you and everyone else that my truck is better than yours. However, if you want to know what I've done let me know and I'll post them


BTW, the flames just dont look good on the tailgate. It doesn't matter if you got them at Pep Boys, Moss Motors catalog, JC Whitney's or Tiffany's Jewelery store, the point (my opinion) is the piece looks cheap. If that's the look you're after, congratulations, you're done. IMO your truck looks good w/o it, not so good w/ it.

I see so many cars/trucks driving around with every $40 or less part the owner can find at the local auto parts store, swap meet, mail order catalog or wherever they find that junk and slapping it on their ride and call it "customizing". They dont care if looks good or not, "It's a mod", oh boy!

I'm honestly not slamming you or your truck. I guess it's just different strokes for different folks.

 

gb150. To each their own. The way i see it you're the type of person who likes to talk ***** but doesnt like it when people talk ***** to you. You say you didnt mean it as an insult but i cant see how you didn't. Like i said i started this thread knowing that i put myself in the position of getting a little bashing. I got 9 replies saying that they liked and yours saying it was cheap and cheesy, thats all fine and dandy but if you dish it learn to take it. I saw your truck and it isnt much, pretty basic. You say you have more mods but no time to list them, but then again youre posting practically every day. So go ahead and update your truck pictures and mods, just dont start making them up ok. No matter what you do my truck will always have the bigger engine , of course unless you swap it out which i doubt! Mine is a 4X4 but ill let that one slide since maybe you have no desire or use for it. My truck has a nicer interior than yours by far i dont care what your opinion is on that. Yes everybody is entitled to their opinion of course. I also didnt want this thread to be about whose truck is better because that is not what this forum is all about i think you know that. I just want to share with others what ive done with my truck, and if anyone has a question like my friend IxITeLLyIxI did ill help them if i can. Just like others have helped me. As for your comment congratulating me on achieving a cheap look. Thank you, and as for you, if you were after buying the "cheaper" F150 congratulations you DID! I could keep on handing it to you on and on but ill leave it at that. Anywho !

You sure are awfully defensive. I dont think I've ever got on here and talked "*****". I simply posted that I think the flames look cheap. If you disagree, keep them on. Congrats on spending more for your truck than I did on mine . I bought what I needed, you bought what you needed. Yes, in retrospect I do wish I had gotten the bigger engine but I got a better deal on the 4.6 and I dont really have an actual "need" for the 5.4. I'll try to take some up to date pics of my truck this weekend and post them. Obviously it'll never be as nice as yours though.

 

center piece is cool...flames, well those look GAY!! .I dont get the deal with flames these days. Are the naked lady mudflaps next??....And, I think GB150 has a way better looking truck IMO..very clean looking.

 

I think the flames are cool. I probably wouldn't do them myself - not the look I'm after - but cool nonetheless.

The custom Ford badge, however, ROCKS!
