RangerBill,

What about the noise level from the Volant? Is it noticeable while cruising? How loud does it get at WOT? Thanks.

I find it to be very subtle. At WOT, its sounds like an old-school Holley double-pumper kicking in!!!

I recently installed(7/29/05) the Airaid Kit on my toy and though it is to early to tell it does make my 4x4 FX4 feel a bit quicker and it responds great with you really get on the pedal. It sounds great with my siso flowmaster 3 inch set up. I'll post pics of the kit installed later. Had it on my 98 F-150 and it worked great, had that one for many years and then upgraded to my 04 FX4. Check out the pics

the volant, like many others is pretty quiet at idle, with the AC on and at a certain RPM it gets VERY loud. im sure all intakes will sound about the same, the volant may be a shade quieter since it does have the airbox, and the techs at volant said to cap off the lower intake hole on the box and it will become much quieter without hurting performance
