MERGED X2: PIE - AUX in sneak peek

Perhaps they all are just following one of the most basic rules of economics = supply vs. demand.

It can't co exist with anything else.. They have a product that is in demand they they developed first and were in the market place first. No competition and that equals profit.
BTW, I'm #104...
Thought it was a little pricey at $70 but it is what I need so I can make my Sirius work like it did in my old truck. The FRD04-AUX also has a wire in the cable on pin 20 that will help mute the HU when my phone rings... Has to be compatible with the '04s that use this wire.. Tried to use the pin already and that seems to work except my '05 Scab doesn't have a wire in that position.. so I'll wait for the P.I.E. Aux thingy...

Anybody have any updated on when this thing is supposed to be released? I know I am on the waiting list, and have not heard from Logjam.
Also, what exactly are the capabilities going to be. I am wanting to run satelite radio directly through the headunit without an extra box (I dont know if this will make it possible at all), and would love to install a bluetooth kit to integrate into the factory headunit. Will this help at all, or it is truly going to just allow you to plug in an ipod or something like that?

I was just on Logjam's web site, and they have tracking numbers for the first 200 units they ordered. They should be receiving them from PIE soon then distributing. They have also placed an order for 100 more units supposedly to be deleivered to them in Mid-October.
Looks like they have sold 289 of these units....well 290 now with my order.
Lookinf forward to ripping open my dash and installing this thing....finally my iPOD in my F150. Took a 6 hour trip to Bristol TN this past weekend....would've been nice to have the iPOD on that trip.

I suggest that once people start getting these things in, we make a new thread detailing installations, i.e.-wire colors, where the unit gets mounted, etc. I called my nearby Ford stealerships, and not one of them was willing to let me have a copy of the wiring diagrams for behind the dash. They all stated they "could not be a part of anything that could void my warranty." It's my darn truck, I'll install what I want!
A good how-to is what I am suggesting, I think.

Thanks for that diagram. Unfortunately, those were not what I was talking about. I was referring to the wiring coming off the cigarette lighter, and the auxilliary power port in the dash.

isn't the cigarette lighter just 2 wires? As far as the aux power im guessing your are talking about the 12v power point and that should just be 2 wires too. looks like the power point is brown-pink = power and black = ground. The "cigar" lighter shows as Lightblue-white = power and black = ground.
