Under the Hood Engine Compartment Light?
It gets rid of a bundle of inline fuses at the battery and organizes them, plus the fuses are the same as the regular fusebox, simplifying the spares situation. I still have to do a label for it now that it is full. Speaking of which, I guess I should have got the 6 fuse holder, because I'm sure I'll think of something else I "need."
I've used inline fuses on several of the projects when I have taken power from somewhere else in the vehicle, so I still have several around.

I just went rummaging through the junk yard for a TRUNK light with a large base, usually has the merc switch in it. Had better lucj finding it when I stayed with the upper end models. Find a hot wire under the hood if you don't want to go to the batt and your set.
Why not just get the switch off an older vehicle? My '94 Ranger and my '02 F150 both have lights on the underside of the hood. Any junkyard would have a multitude of working light switches. It doesn't even necessarily need to be off a Ford, the light bulb doesn't know what brand of vehicle it is in.
myst - very well done web page!!
Nice mods section - I'm going to have to start posting my mods as well....I've done quite a few of the smaller/easier mods (and some hard ones as well). One of my favorites is the creation of storage space beneath the rear seat for those of us with the audiophile option. I relocated the jack, tucked the jack handle behind the sub and made a storage bin using mdf and carpet. I now have space for tools, towels & tie downs - just like a truck should!!
Gotta love ford for savin 10bucks on a many thousand dollar truck...
Add that to the list of...
No underhood heat blanket on the diesels
No inner fender gaurds on the superduty single rear wheels
No door curb lights on the superdutys
