Yeah, so anyone have a True Blue fender (Update w/ pics)

So this morning I parked next to a support column in the parking garage here at work. You can see where this is going already!

Leaving for lunch I was watching for traffic behind me and was talking to some friends riding with me at the same time and completely forgot about that column...WHAM! Dead stop. F'in columns anyway!

I got out half expecting the passenger fender caved in as hard as I hit. I turned into the column and fortunately I think the step bars prevented that from happening and only pushed the fender in a little leaving scuff marks. And I scuffed the badge too!

I haven't looked at it closely enough yet, but I think I could push it back out. The only trouble is it's right on the crease around the wheel opening. My bro's a body man, so I may luck out here.

Pics coming tommorrow!

Ouch! Yeah, you've got to hate those columns. I mean what other use do they have other then holding up the structure so it does not kill you.

Columns? We don't need no stinking columns!

Does anyone know what kind of structural support is behind the surface sheet metal? Upon initial inspection it looks like the fender liner will come out with little difficulty and I we could get in behind to where the damage is to hammer and dolly the spot. I just don't know what's back there.

Pictures...

There's not that much damage though, I was surprised as hard as I hit it. In the first pic you can see the slight depression about 1/4 the way up from the back of the opening. Right on the crease. The dark spot in the middle of the second pic is the depression and to the right of that spot is where the fender crease is jacked up.

Flares would cover most of it, but I could probably have it fixed for the price of a set of those.

I got some. On my truck though. You can't have them.

Seriously though, that sucks. I don't think fender flares would hide that. What is your insurance deductable? If it's $500 or less may be worth going through insurance.
