Here's a pic of my new Expy. The BBB process did work for me, and I hope that all others having issues can make it work for them too.

Congrats Jav

Looks like I'm going to have to keep battling. While my arbirtator didn't give a final decision, he basically said he was going to give Ford one more chance to fix my outstanding issues. I'll have 30 days afterwards to determine if I think it's fixed and then he will persue a buyback.

I'm getting terribly sick of taking this truck in. After all was said and done, I've had my truck in for 24 items since Feb. That IMO, is horrible. Now I can add another 3 items into that total.

While I didn't get the decision I wanted. I still think the BBB is extremely professional and have been a pleasure to work with.

Update

My case is done. I picked up my new 06 Lariat 4x4 Friday. I expected to pay about $500 but I will instead be receiving a check back for about $200.

Thanks for all the info. It really helped.

Jeff

Congrats on the new ride. Glad to see someone else have success with the BBB. Hope this truck works out for you with no issues. Maybe they have most of them fixed by now.

i'm going to the lawyer on thursday about mine. i'm in the middle of a lemon law case with ford and they offered me $7000.00 to settle my case. i said no, not enough( reason for giong to lawyer). with all the **** they changed on my truck and the over 2 months(total) it sat at the dealer it's not enough.(the lawyer gets his share to). the wheel vibe issue is still there but after 13000 miles guess i'm used to it and would take cash back if i get what i want.(they would have to extend my warranty also) well see? or were going to court. my lawyer dose mostly lemon law work and said it is rare for ford to make an offer like that, so if i dont get what i want i'll see them in court.

So far, my case isnt going all that well either. Now the BBB is telling me I might not qualify for a replacement or a buyback. They called Ford about it, and now they are sending an Engineer out to lok at my truck and make the necessary repairs. If they can fix it....great, I love this truck. I just dont want the typical BS "its normal for this truck" I will not accept that as an answer.

My case didn't pan out that well either. I went into arbitration and convinced the arbitrator that I had a pop/slip in the rear end during the test drive. Instead of a full replacement, he is forcing Ford to fix the problem and then I have a 30 day test period to see if the problem still exists. If so, I go back to a hearing and then he will make a decision from there. Should be intresting seeing the dealership deemed the pop "normal"

The process has been pretty pain free, however, I'm PEEVED at Ford because of all the time and effort I've put into this POS. Now I have to waste MORE time meeting with a Field Engineer to work out the problems. I've been a Ford fanboy my whole driving career, but that is quickly changing.

Just an FYI for people thinking about going thru this process. Make sure that you have open issues on the truck and that you're close to the lemon law when starting this process. I had my truck in for 23 items at the time I started the process and had 2 open issues at the time I began (now I have more to add). The only items the BBB are focusing on are the 2 open issues, the 23 other issues weren't even taken into affect because Ford resolved them.

Gotta little update for ya fellas.

After 4 mths of going back and forth with Ford via the BBB, I finally have a decision! The arbitrator forced Ford to repurchase my truck under the MI Lemon Law. My last post stated that I had to meet with a Field Service Engineer. Well, in Nov the truck went in for service and they rebuilt my rear axle for the 3rd time. 3 weeks later, problem started again.

Ford has contacted me already and I'm submitting all my invoices for my aftermarket items. Hopefully the process should go fast. I've been basically driving the truck for free for the last year so I'd imagine Ford wants it back.

As for a replacement. I've got a 2006 Ram on hold at the dealership. Ford wasn't offering any decent lease deals on F-150's (or anything else for that matter). A 2yr lease on a Ram is going to run me only 270 a mth.

Thank god this will be over soon.
