Anyone use BBB's Autoline yet?
we bought these trucks thinking the would run and drive 100%, if the cant fix it take the next step. do it. they tried that 5year / 75000 mile crap with me, i said no thanks and i went the way of the lemon law.
Update on my case
I have a hearing scheduled for Friday morning. This morning I received a call from my BBB rep and she told Ford has offered to swap for a new truck and they will also waive all usage fees. I assume they are doing this to avoid having the truck labeled a lemon.
I guess I go and pick another truck with a similar msrp. If its more then I pay the difference. The only problem I have is they are not sure of the MSRP. I told them it must include the sticker msrp + the roush addendum and I want to swap for a 4x.
I will post the details as I progress.
Thanks again for all the info posted here. Its helped me quite a bit.

Jeff, can you tell me a little about your issues? If theres a thread, please point me towards it. Also, how long has your process been? I hate to keep asking everyone, but I'm going thru it now and just want to get a feel for how long my wait is going to be.Thanks

Well, I called the BBB today to tell them I was NOT going to accept Ford's offer of the ESP.
I also recieved a packet via UPS with my arbitration date and some info about my arbitrator. He's a partner in a law firm that specializes in injury cases and such. Ford will be representing themselves in writing! I don't know what that means (or if it is a good or bad thing), but I'll basically have a one-on-one meeting with the arbitrator to convince him that I deserve a replacement.
Overall this process has been very pain free and very professional. If anything, I have a new respect for the BBB. I'll see how I feel about Ford when I recieve the outcome

I used the BBB and had very good results. I agree they were professional and actually easy to deal with. I believe however, the process could be simplified. During my hearing, I was there for 6 hours and now that we've won our case, the manufacturer reps are being jerks. This was with Nissan not Ford.
I agree with the guys above. The BBB is first class. My rep has really been on the ball.
My issue started June 1st. I purchased an 05 F150 XLT California Edition. Its really just, 20" Roush wheels, billete grille and some step tubes but it looks damn good. I took the truck in 2 days later for a heavy steering wheel vibration and a hard pull to the left. Long story short...took it in about 5 times, had it road force balanced once, spin balance 4 times, one new set of rims and 3 or 4 alignments. At that point they called an engineer who test drove and aligned and rotated the wheels again. He said there wasnt a problem but offered to buy the wheels and tires back and replace them with stockers. I told him know then he offered to take the truck back and high blue book and I refused again. I then told him thanks for the offers but I will be filing with the BBB.
I went home and filed online. I think it took about 1 week to get my packet and another week and a half for me to get it back to them. I was traveling at the time. Oh...the bbb called me after 4 days asking where the packet was. I sent them every work order, a narrative that I wrote and a letter from the Ford sales manager stating that the vehicle has problems. I also requested a full vehicle repurchase.
About a week ago I received a call from the bbb lady asking me if I would allow another engineer to look at my truck. I told her ok and dropped it and they gave me a beat Toreass (Taurus) He realigned the the truck and called it good. He even stated on the work order that it was within spec and drove like any other Ford truck. I picked up the truck and felt the same problem. I took it back to the dealer and took a test drive with service manager and he verified that the problem was still there. He even wrote me another letter stating that the truck is still not right.
So after this I talked to the bbb lady and she told me my hearing is on the 23rd. She told me she had sent a letter a week earlier but it never arrived. So she went ahead and emailed it to me. It listed location, time, arbitrators info and it also said that Ford would be representing by phone.
I then received a call from the bbb lady yesterday (21st) telling me Ford has asked if I would take a replacement vehicle. After verify that we were swapping for total MSRP + my additional Roush fee I would do it.
That pretty much were it stands. Im supposed to here from Ford within 2-3 weeks. She told me if they dont call that I should call her and she will get on them.
Sorry if its rambling on or I left something out.....I have been working for about 14 hours and Im a little tired.
1 more thing....I think they offered a swap so they dont have to label the vehicle a buyback....could be wrong...just my thoughts....kinda feel bad for the next sucker

I was under the inpression that unless they are "forced" to take back the vehicle via court order or something, it is passed on to the next person without any indications on the title. By offering you a buyback or replacement they are voluntarily taking the vehicle back. My service manager told me that most of the vehicles are ran through auction with a 12/12,000 warranty, except for the problem(s) which caused it to be replaced. Talk about a gray area on warranty. Somebody somewhere is not going to be happy with mine when they get it.
On my case, it has been 9 days since talking with the Reqacquired Vehicle people. My paperwork is at the dealer, but we're now waiting for some worksheet to be filled out by the RAV so I can get my new ride. It's sitting at the dealership now calling my name.

Thanks for the info Jeff...To bad you had all these problems, your truck is pretty sweet looking. Anyway, im just trying to get a feel for the time frame its been taking to go thru this whole process. Hopefully soon I will have some sort of answer from someone.

Thats great Javelin
Now if they would only get going with mine. I have still not received anything from Ford or the BBB other than a letter saying they got all my paperwork. I've called and called and nobody will call me back. All I know is my case worker is on vacation until sometime in October. Theres someone else working on my case, but I cant get ahold of her either. Last week I talked to someone (prolly a receptionist) who couldnt give me any info and said if I didnt hear anything by Monday call back and ask for a manager. Well I called and one manager was off and the other one I cant get ahold of. Just left a bunch of voice mails....At this point, im not very happy with the BBB. They've had my paperwork since the 7th of this month.

That sucks dude. I would keep trying to get in touch with someone there. At least they do have your paperwork on file though. They can't put you off forever. I will say that my experience with them has been pretty positive. Now Ford, well that's another story. I went through this week-long process of talking with one person, faxing receipts trying to get credit for all of my aftermarket items, only to turn around and do the exact same thing with the RAV folks. I did get credit for my Catch-Alls and Ventvisors though. For a couple hundred bucks more credit I guess it was worth it. Hang in there and let the system work for you. That's why it's in place.
Well im really hoping it works. At this point, all I want is a status of my claim. Im tired of talking to a receptionist whos looking at my claim and telling me she's not allowed to tell me anything about it. Every time I call for the girl working my case or the manager, I get voice mail, EVERY TIME!! The womens voice mail says she will get back to you within 1 business day. Well, thats out the window. I called and left a message yesterday morning and as of yet, have not gotten a phone call. I hope this doesnt turn into an uphill battle the whole way. Im ready to throw in the towel. I just cant take it anymore.

Update on my case: My hearing is set for 10am tomorrow morning. I will be having a one-on-one with the arbitrator because Ford is representing themselves in writing.
Any last minute advice???
If nothing happens, Dodge is GIVING away Rams for a little over 100 a mth. I might be rolling my negative equity from a trade-in for a lease on a Ram. I can't be taking this truck into the dealership once a month anymore.

Good luck man...hope it all works out.
I finally got ahold of someone at the BBB today. He told me Ford has had my case for 13 days now and he is just waiting to hear from them. He said they usually give them 15 to 20 days to answer but he was going to call them today and see if he could get an answer. Well its 7:45pm, so im assuming he didnt get an answer today
Guess Ill just wait it out another week or so and then call back If I havent heard from anyone by then.
Again, good luck JRod....
