I have a 2005 stx reg cab 4x2 with 4.6L. I just got off the phone with a shop that might do my gear swap. He wanted to know the axle size. Do I have the 8.8? He said if he does the install+ Labor+ parts comes to around 600 bucks. Does this sound right? Thats for 4.10 gears.

 

i believe the rear axel is 9.75, but am not positive per your setup (4.6, 4x2 etc...)

 

The 9.75 is mated to the 5.4 in the F150. All other motors are mated to the 8.8.
