I decided I am going with Wet Okole covers, instead of these leathers, i will sell the leather seats i bought of Ebay for $100 shipped to lower 48, email me at jknigh6@yahoo.com. They are perfect, just to much off a hassle to get put on then have to cover up for hunting season.

Just finished them yesterday... My dad is money. He did a great job. Had to deal with some family issues yesterday, so I couldn't get a pic, but I will post them soon...

I am trying to convince him to do so... he hates doing car upholstery. He said it's akin to asking an artist to paint your house. He's a stubborn man... but if you guys like what he has done, we might be able to work something out. If I gave him the seats I have already removed, he can make fabric templates and have all the measurments ready for when he receives your covers. I mean, he even removed the mounting straps from my old seats and put them on the new leather covers. I am still in awe of what he did, and I think he could do even better if he could organize a way where he could be doing a few on a continual basis... Trust me guys, I am working on it.

cool! well, i talked to the local guy, he wanted $250 all the way around, doing the front myself, do you have any tips(jredecop@sbcglobal.net)? I picked up the pliers and rings already. I am supposed to give him my back ones tuesday($130), but if your dad all the sudden wants to do it, sounds like he does a real good job, might get him to do it still.

As promised, here's what my father's work looked like. He turned SCrew seats into SCab seats... Not quite water to wine, but close enough in my book. Take note of how the top line on the rear seat flows straight across. I also included some pics of the front seats (I installed those myself) for those of your that are still on the fence.

How hard, really, were those front seats? My kit is on order. Have you done any of this before or were you a newbie like myself? I am stoked, those seats ARE money $$$$$$

Not very difficult, except for how hot it is outside right now. Hit me up when it is time to start up, and we can create a step-by-step. The biggest problem I had was that the top screw on plastic cover to the seat belt assembly for the front seat was stripped and just spinning. I had to drill it out. The drill bit cracked as I was applying pressure and I shoved the broken end (still spinning in the drill) right into the meaty part of my left hand. It hurt. I haven't replaced the drilled screw with anything, but it really does nothing anyway. I would just remove those screws very slowly. You could do it. I wasn't using any past experience whatsoever...

Rear Seat Crew to Cab Stitching

Minus,
I just found out also that the SCrew seats are different than the SCab rear seats. Saw the great job that your Dad did. Any way that he may be willing to do another? Please let me know!
Thanks

He is willing to do the work, but you guys are going to have to make it worth his while. I don't even know where to begin with an estimate for the work he is doing, but I suspect he will be in the $150 to $250 range, and then you guys would have to factor in shipping as well. My biggest concern is that for the best finish possible, my father would need the whole rear seat as well, making it cost prohibitive for most of you looking for a $120 leather seat swap. Otherwise, both my father and any prospective client would be susceptible to the frustrations of tearing, ripping and otherwise poor installation associated with an inexperienced person performing the seat cover swap.

It's up to you guys... you make the call. But I won't waste my time if any of you aren't interested. Anyhow, this is bordering on taking advantage of RP's forum for free advertising purposes, so those interested would need to contact me at m1_tivo@bellsouth(.)net (don't use paranthesis... that's to prevent bots from learning my email).
