Hi everyone. I just purchased an 05 F150 Lariat Super Cab 4x4 on Friday night. I'm very, very happy with the purchase. I know I'm going to get harassed for not having pictures, but take it easy on me, computers and the internet is something I'm just getting accostomed to and I haven't been brave enough to try to work a digital camera yet.

I've enjoyed reading this forum for the past several weeks as I made my final decision. I have to say, thanks to the dedicated members here, you're 100% responsible for my purchase. I think Ford should support you all and give you gift certificates for accessories or something for bringing them new business!

There are two accessories I plan to get very soon. The undercover lid and a spray in bedliner. The dealership pointed me to a company they do business with and for that, I get a 15% discount on purchases. However, the only spray in bedliner they offer is by ArmorThane. Most have raved about Line-X, but I've seen very little in regards to ArmorThane. Does anyone know a little background on it or have it in their truck? I'd be curious to hear what people thought of it. They quoted me at $408 plus tax to have it installed.

Thanks again to all those who have provided feedback and information to those like myself who are in need. I think if I want to contribute, I need to take a typing class...

P.S. I have no affiliation with Rhino liners. Rhino is a nickname I've had for many years...

Congrats on the new ride. Do a search for Armorthane in the bedliner forum or post your question there.

I'm with you on the computer/Internet thing and posting pics. But you will soon figure it out. You will get a bunch of help from folks who know.

Wow, you guys are fast. I will have pictures by next weekend (thanks to some family members who have the equipment)!

Here is a rundown of the specs.
Color: Two tone with aspen green on top and beige on bottom
3.73 ratio gears with limited slip diff.
audiophile package with 6 disc cd changer
bright tube running boards
power sliding rear window
tow package
36 gallon fuel tank
leather captain chairs
full tank of gas (which rang up at $74 thanks to the upgraded fuel tank)

I have a 26 foot travel trailer and a 20' powerboat that I occasionally tow as well. Neither dictated me buying a superduty pickup - and I absolutely love the ride of the F150 and the comfort of the interior. I haven't towed either yet, but since total weight on either won't really creep above 6300 pounds, I'm sure I'll be just fine. Besides, after reading too much into these forums (and as RockPick warned), I'm itching to add a few performance parts here and there.

Thanks for the warm welcomes.

Congrats and welcome!

To help answer yoru questions, I have the rhino linner sprayed in and love it, and I currently have an Extang tonneau cover but am thinking of updating that to a retractable cover or a fiberglass. Good luck.

Congrats on the new truck, sounds like a nice one .

Check out the bedliner fourm and ask about Armorthane. One of the guys over there, truckgasm, is a Line-X dealer but he knows a lot about other brands and what their properties are.

Welcome/congrats

Sorry I've never heard of Armor Thane. I can say Rhino liners DO hold up very well. My brother has one for 2years and my cousin had his for a few years and uses his for VERY heavy use and had ZERO problems.

congrats and welcome. yes modding can be addictive. and I am still thinking of things I want to do. I probably won't be done modding for a few years. I too bought a a bed liner tat was not linex but it was supposed to be the same type of liner as linex. it looks like a thick hard paint with texture added to it. it is heat applied. it came out looking vary perfesional and I am vary happy with it. its not linex but I think it is just as good. it was cheaper I think it was arround $350. I think at that price you could get a linex and then you would know you were getting a top notch product. and don't worry about not knowing how to do all this internet stuff it will come with time. in fact I have been on here for quite some time and just today figured out how to post pics in my posts. once you got it figured out its easy. congrats and welcome again.
