Extang RT GUYS!

I searched, before anyone gives me that line.

SImple question that I can't find.

If you lock the tailgate can the cover still be opened? I know its not a safe but the extra little deterent is what I'm after.

Thanks for the help!

you can't fully open the cover but you can pull the velcro up on the sides but only enough to put you arm in. I would say it is very secure for items larger than a shoebox.

For what it's worth, the latch can only be opened from the inside, through the tailgate. But it's nothing an exacto knife couldn't surpass just like any other soft tonneau.

yeah that is the definate downside but a fiberglass cover can't withstand a brick, hammer, etc. if someone really wants in, they are gonna find a way

Yeah, I really had my eyes set on a fiberglass model that would match but the price is a major factor for me (actually for my wife since we are going on vacation during christmas). My next choice was the undercover but everything I have had in my truck has been taller than the sides and usually it is spur of the moment not giving me the option to take it off before I need to use it for the tall purpose.

The Extang RT just looks the best to me.

Thanks for your comments you sealed the deal for me.
