Adaptive Strategy Timeframe

I disconnected my battery to do the disable the door chime about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Ever since then, my mileage has went south along with my performance. Will the adaptive strategy bring back my mileage and power? How long before it levels out. My mileage had been getting better before i disconnected the battery. DOH!

I did mine and mine took 2 or 3 tanks of gas to get back to as good or better than it was prior to the disconnect. It's the best now than it has ever been (I also had a reflash at the same time).

why did you disconnect the battery to disable your door chime? if you turn your truck of and then turn the key back to start ( w/o starting the truck) it will only chime 6 times and then stop.

i disconnected the wire from the harness in the column to cut off hte door chime with the door open and keys in the ignition. I disconnected the battery to prevent me from shorting anything out in there.
