AEM Brute Force

I just had an AEM Brute force air intake installed. I bought the chrome one, not the silver and i must say does it perform. My truck is much louder, the flowmasters sound incredible and you can feel the torque and HP increase. Especially when you lace into the throttle you can hear it suck in all that air.

Thought all potential buyers might want to know.

It looks nice, but not the same numbers as the AF1. Real nice torque curve though......much better than stock.

I will have a pic up by tomorrow. Anyone know how the torque compares to the AF1?

What are some numbers on this intake?

Is it comparable to the Air Raid?

This is what the AEM Brute Force Intake Systems web site is listing the dyno results for the 2004 F150 w/5.4L

11HP and 19.2ft-lbs TQ @ 3000 rpms seems respectable for a bolt on modification.

The AF1 lays down 25hp to the rear wheels at 3000rpm on the 5.4L 3-valve engine. That’s more than double

I am wondering if anyone has any dyno results on the Airaid or AF1 to prove the claimed 20-25hp from them. Honestly, I don't think you will get the 25hp claimed at the rear wheels, maybe engine, but not the rear wheels. I have yet to see a product that fully meets what is claimed for HP, except maybe the custom tuners. Anyway, dyno results would be nice for the other intakes too, and not off the website for the manufacturers, they can fudge that stuff! Thanks!

Troyer performance (the ones that do the custom tunes for the majority here) is the company that everyone quotes with AF1 HP numbers not the manufacturer website. They have extensively tested both the Air Raid and the AF1. They like both bit the AF1 just barely edges out the Air Raid.

I get what you are saying here, but I just want to see an actual dyno test that proves these numbers, thats all. I fully trust Troyer with my tunes, and I am sure there is a reason that they say you get the 25hp with the AF1, but I would just like to see an actual dyno that will show these differences, just like the AEM intake chart shows, thats all. I have gotten all my performance stuff from Troyer's, and couldnt be happier with them, just want to see some real life results, not claims.

Lets heat things up!!!!!!

First:

Not exactly correct....

This "approximately" leaves some wiggle room. I will show you what I mean...

On a July 5, 2005 posting to this board Mike Toyer stated...

Well lets see what the Airaid dynoed at.....

http://www.airaid.com/dyno.asp

So according to Toyers own words...
5-7 HP advantage over the Airaid (remember thats 12HP) puts us in the 17HP -19HP range which by my calculations is not 25HP.

So finally....

Well NJSteverFX4
Dyno results show that the Airaid system yields a 12hp improvement over stock which is not "just barely below the AF1" which is claimed to have a 25HP gain, but instead a full 50% less.

AEM, Airaid, True Flow, K&N which are all quality products have dyno info available. Why not Air Force Performance??

Just show us the dyno results supporting the approximately 25HP gains for the AF1 like the competitors are.

Compete or get beat.
