the plat has little taps on the bottom that need to push up on before you can pull the bottom out if you want to save the bracket or
you can do what i did and just pull really hard on the bottom

I have the same GAP grille, but am in the process of painting both the insert and the existing section to match the AQ (Arizonia Beige) trim on my Lariat. I ran out of AQ paint last weekend (I'm painting the mud flaps AQ also), so I'm awaiting a new shipment of paint. I'll post pics as soon as everything is mounted. I like the chrome look of Toddzilla's truck too.
