well when i ordered the roush hood scoop i figured there was no way it was gonna be wider than my stripes...
so when i painted and all that i let the silver on the scoop follow the visual lines of the stripes. had i known this i would have spaced the stripes wider or something...
comments? suggestions?

From the pictures available i would think your only option now is to make the stripe a little larger. If you didnt have the stripes on before you could have made them narrower so that they fit over the top of the scoops, which would look the best in my opinion.
Looks pretty damn good consideing though, your truck is coming along nicely.

yeah your right about the smaller stripes going right over. i was originally planning on getting the dg scoop which is much smaller, but i couldnt get that kit so i went this way. oh well i guess thats what i get for rushing it....
well i wouldnt mind getting larger stripes but id have to redo them on the whole truck
and i might consider doint the whole thing silver... id have to take some pics and photochop them and see what i think
i thought about removing like 2 inches from the center of the scoop and somehow re-put i together, but i dont know how lol.
if it was all painted instead of vinyl i think it would look better, but i cant afford it
o well thx for the suggestions, ill prolly be doing something to redo at at some point.
oh and the scoop was $150 on ebay. same price directly from roush but i got mine with free shipping

The scoop looks really good. I like your truck with the wheels and stripes on there.
I highly doubt anyone would notice since they probably won't be standing directly ontop of your hood looking down like the picture. You seem to notice all the fine little things on your own vehicle since you spend so much time admiring it ;-) I know I always do but most people don't even notice.

Damn -- that totally sucks! I know how a little thing like that can really annoy the heck out of you when it is your own vehicle and it is the only thing you see when you look at it! If only your stripes had been a hair wider!
$150? Ouch, I got mine for $95.
Could you trim the front part of the stripes to become even with the hood scoop? Basically make them narrow starting out, then widening as it goes back towards the hood scoop. I think that would look better than what it is now, and would probably be the least expensive way to go.
You are right though, the scoops are huge, and make the truck look a lot more beefy. Great addition!!!
