AF1 instalation question

well I finally got my airforce one intake. looked it over and am impressed with the quality of it. I am getting ready to go install it and had one quick question. in the bottom of the cold air intake there is a white plastic paper glued to it. it is pealed up in several places. my question is is this material supposed to be removed or is it added insulation. it looks to me like it wont stay stuck to the heat shield vary long if I leave it on as it is already peeling up in several places and has air pockets and wrinkles in it. I was getting ready to remove it but thought it might be meant to be extra insulation. let me know if you removed it or not. thanks.

Peel it off, it is just manufacturing/shipping finish protection. Inspect the heat shield for any sharp edges or burrs and remove them before installing it. This is important because it lives in close proximity to your wiring harness and several hoses.
