Your tank size shouldn't matter. To estimate fuel economy you divide miles driven by gallons of gas into the tank at the fill up.

14 MPG avg. SCab 4x4, 5.4L, 3.77 LS. It's a truck. It eats gas faster than it *****s it. Deal with it.

Just my 2 cents:

I drive on average 60% city and 40% hwy, always with the air on. My 27 gallon tank averages around 410-430 miles before fill-up. Thats around 15-16 mpg.

If I always got 12, I'd be screaming in the dealers ear, it ain't right.

finally someone who gets why i am complaining so much. hell, i would be ok with 8 mpg if that was what the thing was supposed to get, but my high is lower than some of your lows, that is wrong. i will try disconnecting the battery to see if it helps. but other than that, i am gonna try to get the truck to the dealer for the cracked instrument panel this week or next week, i will complain some more about the gas mileage and explain the 12.5 mpg highway... if they still say oh well then its definitely off to the next town.

and if anyone comes reads this and wants to reply "its a truck, it gets bad mileage" just dont even bother, ive heard it way too much

Yep, the SCrew comes standard with the 30 gallon tank

Maybe, however his fillup at 430miles is 27 gallons.

Wow, I only wish I could get that many miles out of a tank of gas! The most I've ever gotten out of a tank on my screw is around 230 miles. I drive probably 80% city with no A/C. Maybe it's time I start talking to the dealer again to check it out.

Something does'nt seem right. Quick calculations show that you are getting ~7.66miles/gallon and with gas prices in your area that comes out to be about .32 cents per mile. That's pricey

I am running an '04 SCab XLT 2x4 w/ 5.4L and 3.55 open readend. The engine, exhaust, suspension, and tire/wheels are still stock. I regularly get 425-430 miles btwn fillups. I would have to run WOT everywhere and powerbrake at every stoplight to get 230 miles per tank.

Go have your service manager look over your truck again and don't let him tell you that these trucks don't get better milage than that, because clearly they do.

You lost me? I posted 247.9 not $247.9 or 247.90?
The price is 247.9, which is how it's posted, priced and sold.
It's not posted 2.47.9 as that would be incorrect.
Geez, buy a clue.
(I will sell you one for 100.00.10)
