I'm installing thr driver side handle as we speak, but I've ran into a problem. I can't seem to get the factory keypad out. Did you guys leave the factory keypad in and just unplug it from the handle? If so how were you able to do that? That seems to be the simplest way to me.

Any help at all would be welcomed.

Thanks!

Ahh this is an old thread!!! I got mine painted like that also. I unplugged my keypad from the truck harness because the new handles came with their own keypad. You can get the keypad out of the handle though....and it would probaby be easier than taking out that harness and the clips that are in the door. It is snapped into the handle with a bunch of little plastic clips. You just have to work around with them and it will come out.
