Quick question on seats

Are the seats the same on an '05 SCREW XLT with buckets as they are on an '05 SCREW Lariat with leather? What about the rear seats are they all the same? Looking at putting leather in my XLT.

Thanks

The lariet will have a fold down console in the back seat.. But I put the below leather kit in my truck and had the rear fold down center console removed and a flat piece of leather installed..

Is that a picture of the covers installed? If so, how difficult were they to install?

Yes, that is with the leather installed, it truck had cloth before. I did the back to the front driver seat and the head rest, then called the local Katskin dealer and paid to have them do the rest. But It can be done by yourself, you would need a tool for the "bull rings" ,Not sure it that is the correct term, but it would take some time

you can contact the below ebay seller and ask, but I think that he only has black..
you can get any color you want in katzkin, but it more $$$$ than the black kits

I emailed them a few months back and asked if they ever have any other colors other than black. They replied back that they dont know what colors they will have in the future. However, black is the only color I have ever seen them put up for auction. I have been watching for tan leather take offs for probably 8 to 10 months. No luck yet.

I've been watching leather covers for about 8 months. I have seen one set of tan/light brown for the Crew. I would like gray, but that's about 700 plus install. Lots of the black ones, regular posts from three different vendors.
I have never seen any takeoffs from anything with shoulder mounted seat belt.

GB150, if I ever (unlikely) see a cream/tan set up, if you want I will message you.

Hog ring pliers are what you need to put 'real' seat covers on, and while I bought mine at harbor freight, True-value hardware is better. Not as nice a pliers, but it does all sizes of rings.

If I was doing it again, I would spend 17.99 plus shipping and get them from JCWhitney.
Finding 'hog rings' small enough to use on upholstery locally cost more than the whole setup.

When I did my seats, I went to the local Feed and Seed place and they had the hog ring pliers there.

I re-used the hog rings that were on the cloth set.

IIRC, the tan ones were on a buy-it-now, and they came and went in about a day. That's why I don't think think you will have too much luck. But you never know. I look at it at all hours, and since I am on the left coast, I hit it sometimes 3-4 am East Coast time.

I also have three or five search macros setup. I play on e-bay a lot.
