Quick question on seats
Quick question on seats
Are the seats the same on an '05 SCREW XLT with buckets as they are on an '05 SCREW Lariat with leather? What about the rear seats are they all the same? Looking at putting leather in my XLT.
Thanks
Thanks
The lariet will have a fold down console in the back seat.. But I put the below leather kit in my truck and had the rear fold down center console removed and a flat piece of leather installed..

Yes, that is with the leather installed, it truck had cloth before. I did the back to the front driver seat and the head rest, then called the local Katskin dealer and paid to have them do the rest. But It can be done by yourself, you would need a tool for the "bull rings" ,Not sure it that is the correct term, but it would take some time
Looks pretty good....was black the only option and do you know if they provide covers for other cars?

I emailed them a few months back and asked if they ever have any other colors other than black. They replied back that they dont know what colors they will have in the future. However, black is the only color I have ever seen them put up for auction. I have been watching for tan leather take offs for probably 8 to 10 months. No luck yet.

I have never seen any takeoffs from anything with shoulder mounted seat belt.
GB150, if I ever (unlikely) see a cream/tan set up, if you want I will message you.
Hog ring pliers are what you need to put 'real' seat covers on, and while I bought mine at harbor freight, True-value hardware is better. Not as nice a pliers, but it does all sizes of rings.
If I was doing it again, I would spend 17.99 plus shipping and get them from JCWhitney.
Finding 'hog rings' small enough to use on upholstery locally cost more than the whole setup.

I also have three or five search macros setup. I play on e-bay a lot.
