Opinion on Grill

hey guys, i'm thinking of getting a new grill for my truck. i'm leaning towards a black one, because i want to keep the truck silver, black and a little chrome (billet like this: http://www.truckstuffusa.com/billetg...iageworks.html) but, i'm not sure..

so, what do you guys think?

Honestly, I'd keep your stock ones and buy some skid plates.

That is the same one I went with. Mine is also the black one, and have loved it since I installed it. After over a year being on the truck it is starting to show some wear (rock dings) with the paint having chipped off. I'll just have it repowder coated one of these days. My truck is white but check out my gallery for some pics of the grill. Thats a nice lookin ride you got there.

Well heres another idea, just get the G.A.P. grille for the lower grille and than save the extra money on something else.

I think a black upper and lower billit grill will look great on your truck.

I was thinking about painting my stock black grill Bright Red to match the body color. I would buy a chrome surround (from a Lariat) and get a black bumper grill from C/Works. Has anybody been able to paint the original grill or is it not possible?

Bright Red XLT 4X2 Screw

Personally, I love a Silver XLT with a Polished Billet Grill and Bumper insert to match. I'm not a fan of the black honeycomb grill. From a distance, looks like a big hole in the front of the truck. Again, just my opinion.

Opinions are like A-holes right? Everyone has one, some stink worse than others. I have a 4x2 version of your truck, and I bent my mind around several grill options. In the end I concluded a GAP grill for the bottom, and to keep the black honeycomb, nice contrast with the silver. I'm in Dallas and every other truck has a billet grill, thats when I decided it wasnt for me. Im going for a muscle truck look anyways, so bling bling is to a minimal....
