IMO not worth possible engine damage over the long run for 6hp as opposed to what the AF1 gives (that and no way I'm cutting the hood).
Please..... are you telling me Mike T couldnt tune that out?..... It's not putting any more air in than a AF1, i dont think. No codes either, yet.... But i will definitely tell you when i get one.... BEFORE i bought it, i asked them if there were any reports of CE lights. I was told "No". Another member "04 on 20s" said they had no CE lights. Good enough for me.
If i have any issues, i will get up with troyer. I feel confident he can help me out if i need him.
Anyway, i have posted some pics in my gallery of the innards of the shaker to show how easy it is too install (minus the hood cutting of course).

if you want to drag race a 3 ton truck, get the AF1. If you want to get something different and kinda cool, get the shaker.

CAn I post that info???

Another thing, when i pulled the scoop off to take pictures last night, the scoop felt like it had been in the refrigerator! It was still in the 90's but after driving around and then pulling it off, the scoop was cool as ice. Weird.....

I'm sure he could. It wasn't a knock on you for buying it, just stating why I wouldn't switch to a functional one myself, and why you'd get more HP out of the AF1.
It looks great and if it works for you thats all that matters

Maybe I came off a little harsh... I just havent heard of any lean conditions with the shaker (not yet anyway). I bet if i raised the scoop further up in the air, i might could trigger one!!!

I don’t think you'll ever throw a lean-condition CEL with the shaker hood because it uses the stock air box.

It looks great!
