I have the same problems with my 04 f150 4x4 screw. I had the rotors (front) cut in february, took the truck into the shop 2 weeks ago. ford called me, told me they would cover the front rotors under warranty, but the pads (front & rear) & the rear rotors would not be covered. The rear rotor (driver side) had grind marks into the it, and all 4 pads are gone. Great parts ford uses. I decided to go aftermarket (wagner/bendix) for the pads & rear rotors (fronts are ford warranty pieces). This is the 2nd truck in a row from ford ive had a problem with (03 excursion), that the front brakes & now the rear ones wont hold up for whatever reason. BTW, i have like 20k miles on the truck now.

Red face Article

I to read this article with great interest and I am confused---I have been driving a F-150 for the last 20 years and I've NEVER had problems with the brakes--Why is this starting to happen now with 2004 and 2005 F-150's anyone know?

I have had 3 new sets of brake pads installed on my truck and two new sets of rotors (front) and one set in the rear...I am still having brake issues (noise, dust and have had warping problems)...I just bought and recieved Porterfield brake pads which I have heard nothing but great things about...they go on the truck tomorrow with new Ford rotors...I will keep you guys posted.
